UMED

UMED is a dynamic platform dedicated to empowering small businesses and fostering sustainable growth. As a comprehensive resource for entrepreneurs and investors, UMED focuses on community development, financial support, and business advancement. The logo design needed to capture UMED’s mission of economic upliftment while appealing to a diverse audience, including small-scale entrepreneurs, middle-class borrowers, and upper-middle-class investors. The goal was to create a logo that communicates UMED's commitment to positive community impact and professional growth.

The design of the UMED logo reflects the brand's mission to inspire and support small businesses through visual elements that symbolize hope and aspiration. Central to the design is a bird in flight, set against a warm orange circle. This imagery represents growth, ambition, and the promise of new opportunities, aligning with UMED’s goal of empowering entrepreneurs and driving sustainable development. The bird’s flight symbolizes freedom and the boundless potential UMED aims to unlock for its users. The orange circle evokes the rising sun, a metaphor for fresh starts and prosperity. The typography, bold and elegant, underscores strength, reliability, and professionalism, effectively conveying UMED's role as a catalyst for economic and social upliftment.

The colour scheme of the UMED logo combines three distinct shades, each contributing to a cohesive and meaningful brand identity. The vibrant Chinese Orange (#F0663A) symbolizes energy, creativity, and new beginnings, representing the optimism and opportunities UMED offers its community. Complementing this is the softer Sunset Orange (#F68665), which adds warmth and depth, reflecting the nurturing and inclusive environment UMED fosters for small businesses to thrive.
To balance the warmth of the oranges, Midnight Moss (#050609), a deep black, is used for the bird and typography, signifying strength, professionalism, and reliability.
