For the poetry assortment book, Spandan, our task was to create an exclusive cover that would encapsulate the profound messages conveyed through the author’s verses. The book, which revolves around themes of rediscovery and the need for freedom of expression, required a design that could visually represent these ideas. We chose the imagery of a bird soaring high in the sky, admired by birds still confined to a cage, symbolizing the joy of freedom and the pursuit of uninhibited expression.
During the design process, we focused on ensuring that the cover would not only be visually striking but also deeply symbolic. The use of contrasting elements between the free bird and those still captive created a powerful visual metaphor that aligned perfectly with the essence of the poems. The final design resonated with the author’s vision, offering readers a glimpse into the book’s inspiring content before they even turned the first page.
